We are excited to announce that Ohio Dominican University (ODU), a partner and Service Provider member of the Conway Center, is providing all Conway Center members the opportunity to benefit from business related classes at NO COST for the Fall 2021 semester!
The fall semester start date is August 16th. All classes are ONLINE and are the first class in the sequence of these three certificate programs:
- Data Science (Data Analytics)
- Risk Management & Insurance
- Supply Chain Management CLOSED - all slots filled
Students will earn 3 credits that can be applied toward fulfillment of the requirements for the certificate program. Note that there is no obligation to enroll in additional courses to complete the certification, these three courses are being offered with "no strings attached" to Conway Center members.
Course Details
Available courses at no cost for Conway Center members are:
DAT 110- Statistics for Data Science
An introduction to the basic concepts and computations used in statistical analysis as well as an introduction to tools and technologies used in data science. Topics include graphical and numerical representation of data, distributions, sampling distributions, Central Limit Theorem, confidence intervals, linear, multilinear and logistic regression. Students will work with real-life data sets and use MS Excel and R Studio throughout the course to help with analysis and visualization.
Format: ONLINE with set meeting time from 4-7pm each Thursday. Classes begin on 8/19/21 and end on 10/7/21.
RMI 210- Fundamental of Risk Management and Insurance
This is an introduction to risk management frameworks, standards, and processes. Students will study risk identification and control techniques, and insurable loss exposure. There will be an emphasis on the basic structure of insurance policies and the benefits of insurance in personal and commercial risk reduction.

SCM 201- Introduction to Principles of Supply Chain Management
CLOSED - ALL SLOTS FILLED
This course will provide an overview of the fundamental elements of Supply Chain Management including, strategic sourcing, transportation, inventory management, demand planning & forecasting, manufacturing, distribution and customer service. The course focus is placed on developing an understanding of the flow of materials, information and cash from suppliers to customers in manufacturing, wholesale, service, health care and retail industries. The course will examine the interrelationships between logistics and other key organizational functions such as marketing, sales and finance. The course will also provide an overview of the logistics industry, its evolution and its future role.

Tuition/Fees & Eligibility
Tuition will be $0 per credit hour and all student fees will be waived. Any employee (family or non-family) of a business who is a Conway Center member is eligible to enroll.

Complete the brief Enrollment Form indicating your course selection (button at the bottom of this page).
DEADLINE is 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 12.
Limited spaces for each course are available - enrollment is first-come, first-served. Due to the demand and to allow for as many businesses to participate, we are allowing only one member/company to enroll in each of the three available courses.
If a course if filled, it will be noted on this page of our website and the Enrollment Form.
Students will then be officially registered by ODU academic advisors prior to Fall semester start date on August 16.
