The Edward Lowe Foundation has a new retreat offering that might interest some of the Center members:The Theory of Relative-ity. This highly interactive program target leaders and key managers of family-owned, second-stage companies*who seek profitable growth with fewer migraines.
The day-and-a-half retreat will be held March 13 and 14 at Big Rock Valley, the foundation’s learning campus in southwest Michigan. Participants will cover a wide range of issues, such as:
- Conflict management
- Engaging the next generation
- Succession planning
- Strategic innovation
Attendees will also be able to hear best practices and glean insights from other family-business leaders. Cost is $400 per participant, which includes program facilitation, food and lodging.
In addition to the cutting-edge content, retreats at Big Rock Valley provide a rare chance to unplug. Our property features 2,000 acres of prairies, woodlands and wetland, a unique rural environment combined with state-of-the-art meeting facilities that enables second-stagers to relax and reflect on their businesses from a new perspective.
