Conway Center Presents Panel Discussion on Medical Marijuana
Columbus, Ohio, February 13, 2020 – The Conway Center for Family Business is hosting a panel discussion on issues of importance to family business leaders regarding CBD oils and medical marijuana .
The program takes place 7:30-9 a.m. on February 20 in the Community Room at Ohio Dominican University, 1215 Sunbury Road, Columbus, OH 43219.
Marijuana and CBD are becoming increasingly popular as a
treatment option for a variety of health conditions. Laws about medical
marijuana in the workplace are also evolving and can seem unclear to employers
and employees. While marijuana remains illegal at the federal level, Ohio and
28 other states have legalized medical marijuana to some extent. Facilitated
by Janica Pierce Tucker and Devin Spencer of Taft/, along with Kim Smith of
Confirmed Integrity, this session will help clear the haze on what family
business leaders can do in the event of positive and false positive drug
screenings, how to incorporate drug policies into employee handbook, the
importance of management training for upholding drug policies, drug-related
terminations and more.
This program is sponsored by GREENCREST.
RSVP to Amy Dotts at ADotts@FamilyBusinessCenter.com or 614-253-4820. The program is free for Conway Center members and $35 for non-members. Family business leaders attending for the first time may attend as a Conway Center guest.
