James Bishop of the BCA Group at Morgan Stanley will lead a discussion on family, philanthropy and wealth by exploring what money’s purpose means to you, your parents and your children. Also, a rundown of charitable products such as the various charitable trusts and gifting vehicles, along with family foundations and Donor Adviser Funds. Parents bring your children; children bring your parents to this one-hour event. Light breakfast will be served.

Harrop Industries, Inc. was founded in 1919 by Carl Harrop under the name Carl B. Harrop Engineers, who supplied kilns to the ceramic industries in Ohio and West Virginia. In 1927, the company incorporated as Harrop Ceramic Service Company with Carl as president, until his death in 1934. Leadership passed on to George Brush in 1936, who had worked for Harrop for many years. In 1978, Brush passed on the company to Dr. James Houseman, who continues as CEO today. The company changed its name to Harrop Industries in 1981. James’ son, Stephen Houseman, became president in 2013, having served with the company since 1991. Dan O’Brien is vice president.
Harrop Industries Inc. works hard to maintain a commitment to providing custom engineered kilns, upgrades and technical services to the ceramic industry.
